30-Day Challenge: WEEK 1
Conquer Your Objectives
Making goals and sticking with them are two very different things. It's easy to conjure up a list of goals you want to achieve this year, but it’s another thing entirely to dedicate time to making those ambitions a reality. It can start to seem like time slips away from you and, before you know it, that New Year motivation slowly fades away.
Start the challenge by making a clear plan for saving money—whether that means cutting back expenses on going out to eat, putting away more for retirement, or finally deciding to put a down payment on a home. Continue the week by aiming to get more sleep, organizing your inbox, and remembering what it is you have to be grateful for.
Week 1
Sticking with Goals
- Day 1 – Make a savings plan for the next year.
- Day 2 – Aim to get a full 8 hours of sleep.
- Day 3 – Write down your goals for the next 1, 5, and 10 years, and make a vision board out of those goals.
- Day 4 – Disconnect from social media for 24 hours, limiting distractions as much as you can.
- Day 5 – Clean out your e-mail inbox, unsubscribe from any junk mail, and delete apps you don’t use on a daily basis.
- Day 6 – Come up with a reward for when you accomplish a certain goal. It could be a new pair of jeans or a meal from your favorite restaurant.
- Day 7 – Take a moment to write down everything you’re grateful for.
