    For the syrup
  1. Combine ¾ cup of water and the brown sugar in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Reduce the heat to low, and add in the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pumpkin puree. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Simmer for five minutes, and strain through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth. (Syrup can be stored in an airtight container or jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.)
    For the latte
  1. Add a small amount (about two tablespoons) of pumpkin syrup to the bottom of a coffee cup or mug, and prepare coffee as desired.
  2. While coffee is brewing, heat the milk in the microwave or on the stovetop until warm. Whisk until frothy.
  3. Pour coffee into your cup over the pumpkin syrup, top with frothed milk, and dust with cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.
