Lavender-Lemon Gin and Tonic

When life gives you lemons, make a gin and tonic! This cocktail features lavender and lemon juice to give it a unique flavor. It tastes delicious but looks even better, making it almost too pretty to drink.

Simple syrup
  • ¼ c. lavender (fresh or dried)
  • ½ c. sugar
  • ½ c. water


Drink
  • Ice
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 3 oz. tonic water
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Lavender sprigs (fresh or dried), for garnish

  1. Prepare the lavender simple syrup by combining the lavender, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, and stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Continue to simmer for one minute, and then remove from heat. Pour through a mesh strainer to remove the lavender pieces.
  3. To make the drink, fill a shaker halfway with ice, and combine the gin, lemon juice, lavender simple syrup, and tonic water.
  4. Shake until chilled, and strain into a glass. Garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs, if desired.
