Fall Home Maintenance Schedule
If you live in a place where the leaves change during autumn, you know how beautiful the foliage can be. The main problem is collecting those leaves as the season grows colder. Before it's leaf-raking season, though, there are many ways you can prepare your home for the chilly weather ahead.
Prepare for colder temps by flushing your hot water heater to remove dirt and sediments.
Store patio or lawn furniture indoors, and organize your garage or shed.
If you have a chimney, have it inspected and swept.
Check the hoses of your dryer, and ensure all lint traps and filters are clear to prevent fire.
Repair any cracks around windows and doors to prevent outside air from leaking in.
