Ice Pop Power
Recipes for Refreshing Frozen Treats

Barbecues and picnics are two of the best parts of summer, but spending all day running around in the hot sun can certainly make you crave sweet refreshment.

Ice pops are the most delicious way to beat the heat, and the best part is that they’re incredibly easy to make right at home; you can even select the flavors yourself so your ice pop is just the way you like it!

For all of these delicious pops, simply add your solid ingredients (e.g. fruit) to the mold, then your liquids, and freeze overnight.

Berry-Lemonade

Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (juice from 4–6 lemons)
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • Sliced strawberries, as many as desired

Who doesn’t love a refreshing glass of lemonade on a hot day? The only thing that could make it better is a little fruit and a wooden stick!

Root Beer Float

Ingredients
  • 12–16 ounces of root beer
  • 1–2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Skip the frosted mug and have your root beer float in a convenient ice pop.

Tip: Pour the root beer into your mold, and then add the desired amount of ice cream.

White Wine Sangria

Ingredients
  • 1 bottle of white wine
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ½ cup cherry juice
  • Mixture of sliced fruit, such as blueberries, strawberries, and grapes

This one’s for the adults—sweet wine, fresh fruit, all in a tasty frozen pop. What more could you want on a warm day?
