The Great Outdoors

written by rebecca poole

April showers have given way to May flowers, meaning it’s finally time to bask in the warm spring sun. There are several studies that prove just how beneficial spending more time outside is for both our mental and physical well-being (especially for those who spend most of the day in front of a screen). Get outside more this month by way of biking, an activity that deserves its time in the spotlight. Spring sports are also in full swing, so set your calendars (and your DVRs) to enjoy viewing athletic activities when you happen to be inside.

Getting the entire family involved with something can sometimes prove to be a difficult task, but who doesn’t love an adventure in nature? Grab the gang for a day in the sun, which could include bicycling on one of the most scenic trails in the nation.

Sports festivities may have slowed down during the winter season, but in May, they’re popping up once more. A printable calendar breaks down the most popular events taking place that those of any age will enjoy tuning in to.

Share the joy of the outdoors and sports with family and friends!
